Studio policy

Deposits and rescheduling

Please read this section before confirming an appointment. It explains when a deposit can be moved, when it is lost, and who is responsible for it.

Deposit

A 50% deposit confirms your appointment and is deducted from the final price of your session.

Rescheduling

Let us know at least 48 hours before your appointment and we will move your deposit to a new date. You can reschedule up to three times with the same deposit.

Late notice, no-shows and late arrival

Cancelling or changing with less than 48 hours' notice, not showing up, or arriving an hour or more late means the deposit is lost and a new deposit is required to book again.

Deposits are non-refundable

Outside the circumstances described below, deposits are not refunded.

If your artist leaves

If your artist moves to another studio or another country before your session, and your deposit was paid to the studio, you can choose a full refund or we can help you find another Ink Society artist for the same project.

Some artists take deposits directly. In that case the deposit is held by the artist and the studio cannot refund or transfer it. Your receipt will show who it was paid to.

All deposits are paid to the studio unless your artist tells you otherwise at the time of booking. Your payment receipt shows who the deposit was paid to.

Before you book

Consultations and pricing

Consultations

Consultation policies are set by each artist. Some consultations are free, while others may require a fee to protect the time reserved for the appointment.

If a fee applies, your artist will confirm it before the consultation. In some cases, that amount may be credited towards your tattoo session if you choose to go ahead.

Pricing varies by artist and studio

There is no single price list across every Ink Society location. The final price depends on the artist, the project, size, placement and the time required.

How a quote works

Send your idea, reference images, placement and approximate size. The studio or artist handling your project will confirm the quote before the appointment is booked.

If you are unsure who fits your project, choose your studio and the team can point you in the right direction.

Quick answers

Booking questions

Short answers to the practical questions that usually come up before an appointment.

How is tattoo pricing decided?

Pricing depends on the artist, project, size, placement and time required. Because Ink Society operates across different locations and artists work differently, the quote for your tattoo is confirmed by the studio or artist handling your project.

How do I book a tattoo at Ink Society?

Choose the studio where you want to be tattooed and send your idea, reference images, placement and approximate size. If you already have an artist in mind, include their name. If not, the studio can help guide you.

Do I need a consultation?

It depends on the project and the artist. Some tattoos can be organised directly, while others benefit from a consultation first. Any consultation fee will be explained before the appointment is confirmed.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes. A 50% deposit confirms your tattoo appointment and is deducted from the final price of the session. Deposits are non-refundable except in the circumstances explained in the policy above.

What if I need to reschedule?

Let us know at least 48 hours before your appointment and your deposit can be moved to a new date, up to three times. Changes with less than 48 hours' notice, a no-show, or arriving an hour or more late means the deposit is lost.

Which Ink Society studio should I contact?

Ink Society Collective operates in Dublin and Cork in Ireland, and Florianópolis in Brazil. Choose the location where you want to be tattooed and that studio will guide the next step.

What age do I have to be to get tattooed?

18 is the standard minimum age. If an exception is available for a 17-year-old with a parent present, the studio must confirm the requirements before any appointment is booked.
